Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing specifically on web and mobile applications.
  • Review and analyze system specifications, user requirements, and wireframes related to web and mobile platforms.
  • Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases tailored for web browsers, iOS, and Android environments.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) for web and mobile apps.
  • Validate the performance of applications across different devices, browsers, and OS versions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, UI/UX designers, project managers) to ensure the quality of web and mobile application features.
  • Execute manual tests on various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and desktop browsers, to ensure responsiveness and performance.
  • Ensure the security and scalability of web and mobile applications are maintained by conducting tests around performance, usability, and compatibility.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients or stakeholders on web and mobile platforms, as necessary.
  • Identify areas for automation and communicate findings to the automation team for future improvements.
  • Provide detailed reports on test execution, bugs, and test coverage, and ensure high quality in releases for web and mobile applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing test cases for various browsers, mobile devices, and operating systems.
  • Experience in testing responsive designs, ensuring consistent performance across various screen sizes and device types.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), particularly in relation to web and mobile app development.
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
  • Excellent understanding of mobile testing best practices, including app permissions, network conditions, and battery consumption.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for documenting bugs and issues effectively.
  • Ability to work in an Agile or Scrum environment.

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of automation testing tools for web and mobile applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with App Store and Google Play guidelines for mobile apps.
