Job Title: LogicMonitor Administrator
Location: Onsite, Bangalore
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Timings: 4 PM to 1 AM IST
Project: Semiconductor Manufacturing
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced LogicMonitor Administrator to join our Enterprise IT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and continuous optimization of the LogicMonitor platform to support real-time monitoring, alerting, and visibility across our hybrid IT infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with Cloud, DevOps, NOC, and Infrastructure teams to ensure operational excellence, system uptime, and performance optimization of business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end administration of the LogicMonitor platform, including setup, maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Design, configure, and manage LogicMonitor Collectors, LogicModules, and custom DataSources.
Develop and optimize dashboards, reports, alert rules, escalation chains, and monitoring templates.
Automate device onboarding and configuration using scripting tools such as PowerShell or Python.
Integrate LogicMonitor with external systems such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Slack, Teams, or custom REST APIs.
Work closely with stakeholders to define KPIs and SLAs for systems and infrastructure monitoring.
Ensure monitoring coverage for cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-prem systems including servers, network devices, applications, and databases.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure owners to implement proactive observability practices.
Troubleshoot platform issues, manage incidents, and support post-mortem analysis with alerting data.
Document monitoring standards, procedures, and support runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience administering LogicMonitor in a medium to large enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of monitoring protocols like SNMP, WMI, JMX, REST APIs, and log ingestion.
Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.
Solid experience in infrastructure technologies including Windows/Linux servers, network devices, databases, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Hands-on experience creating LogicModules, alert thresholds, collector groups, and device groups.
Experience with ITSM integrations, preferably ServiceNow, Jira, PagerDuty.
Familiarity with cloud monitoring concepts (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, able to collaborate cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
LogicMonitor Certified Associate or Administrator (preferred).
ITIL Foundation Certification or familiarity with ITSM processes.
Experience with other monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, SolarWinds, or Nagios is a plus.
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or config management tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet is a plus.
