Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a versatile DevOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and system administration. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize our Azure cloud environment, set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure robust networking and security configurations. In addition, this role will involve the administration of both Windows and Linux systems, ensuring the smooth operation of all services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure virtual machines (VMs) for both Windows and Linux environments.
- Administer and optimize databases, including SQL Server and MySQL, within the Azure ecosystem.
- Design, implement, and manage Azure networking components such as Virtual Network Gateways, Application Gateways, and Virtual Networks.
- Security and Networking:
- Implement and manage Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and other security measures to protect cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure secure and efficient network connectivity across services using Azure networking tools (e.g., Network Security Groups).
- Monitor and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across all Azure resources.
- DevOps and CI/CD:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- System Administration:
- Administer and manage both Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, connectivity, and application deployment.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and security patches for all managed environments.
- Intune Office 365 Administration:
- Manage and maintain Office 365 environments, ensuring seamless integration with Azure services.
- Manage and configure Microsoft Intune for device management and security policy enforcement across the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office 365 services, including email, collaboration tools, and user access.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Set up and monitor system performance using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
- Quickly identify and resolve infrastructure, application, and network issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in managing Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, SQL, and MySQL databases.
- Strong experience with Azure networking, including Virtual Network Gateways, Application Gateways, and Firewalls.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Azure security services such as Azure WAF.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline creation and deployment automation.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux administration, including system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Office 365 administration and integration with Azure.
- Experience with advanced Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions and Docker is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in Azure cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and system administration.
- Proven experience in managing both Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience in networking and security within a cloud-based environment.
- Hands-on experience with database management in Azure (SQL Server, MySQL).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. responsibilities
