Job Summary:
The Sr. System Administration is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves managing a team of system administrators, ensuring the security and stability of the network, and coordinating with other departments to meet business needs. The Sr. System Administration will also be responsible for developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, as well as staying abreast of emerging technologies to enhance the organization's systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the organization's IT infrastructure in alignment with business goals and objectives.
2. Team Management: You're responsible for leading a team of system administrators. This involves setting goals, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
4. System Maintenance: Oversee the ongoing maintenance and monitoring of servers, networks, and other IT systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
5. Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions and timely support.
6. Policy Development: Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
7. Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
8. Technology Evaluation: Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in system administration, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's operations.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and priorities, and develop solutions to support their objectives.
10. Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize the impact of system failures or data breaches on the organization's operations.
11. Infrastructure Management: You oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and other hardware components.
12. Security: Ensuring the security of the organization's systems and data is paramount. This involves implementing security measures such as firewalls, encryption, access controls, and security patches, as well as staying updated on the latest security threats and best practices. Should have experience in ISO and Soc Type 2.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in system administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong technical expertise in server administration, network management, and security protocols.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team of IT professionals.
- Solid understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Work experience on Microsoft365, Google Workspace,
- Work experience on AWS and Azure cloud.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, MCSE, CCNA) preferred.
Working Conditions:
- This role typically operates in a professional office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required to attend conferences, training sessions, or meet with vendors.
