Tech lead- Java @ Saama Technologies

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Java based modules/applications.
• Perform software coding and unit testing of application/modules using coding standards and designs/patterns.
• Create software development artifacts as required such as functional requirements, business process, class diagrams and Javadoc etc.
• Perform software support tasks such as quality assurance testing, analysis of reported software issues using the JIRA/SugarCRM defect tracking tool, diagnosis of software problems and resolution of software defects. Maintain software accurately in the Subversion source code control system.
• Very strong in Object Oriented Programming concepts.
• Technical Leadership and mentoring internal team members.
• Coordinate with on-site team members and/or customers as required.

Required Skills 

• Experience in developing products/projects using Java/J2EE and Big Data (Hadoop Stacks).
• Experience in working with Java based MVC frameworks such as Spring/Struts.
• Experience in working with Java based ORM framework such as Hibernate/Toplink/ /JPA 2.0
• Experience in Java/J2EE software development using IDE such as Eclipse or MyEclipse.
• Experience in creation and consuming Web Services using industry standard protocols such as REST.
• Good expertise in MapR, Pig, Hive, HBASE, Spark, Scala, Kafka etc.
• Excellent working knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery etc.
• Well versed with latest UI Technologies such as HTML5, SVG, CSS etc.
• Very strong in database programming (Oracle and SQL)
• Possesses extensive technical knowledge in database tools and technologies for design and implementation.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.
