Junior Engineer - Biomedical Engineering @ Aakash Health Care

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our Biomedical Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands-on experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in the maintenance, calibration, and management of medical equipment.

Role & responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment and systems.
• Support senior engineers in equipment lifecycle management, including procurement specifications, commissioning, and decommissioning.
• Perform routine inspections and safety testing of medical devices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities for all biomedical equipment.
• Respond to service requests from clinical departments and provide timely technical support.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support audits and inspections.
• Work with cross-functional teams including clinical staff, procurement, and IT to ensure efficient equipment integration and functionality.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends relevant to biomedical engineering.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree OR Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical equipment service environment.
• Strong understanding of medical devices such as ventilators, patient monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, and imaging equipment.
