Qualifications & Skills Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred) Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects Proven experience in managing foundation and shed works Familiarity with railway department processes and compliance will be an added advantage Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills Excellent communication and coordination abilities Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools
Job Summary
The Senior Manager Civil is responsible for the overall planning, execution, supervision, and monitoring of all civil engineering activities related to the HYT Machinery Division. This includes overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects involving machine foundations, industrial shed works, and associated infrastructure from initial GAD approval through to completion while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Manage the planning, execution, and monitoring of all civil engineering projects for the HYT Machinery Division.
- Oversee all stages of machine foundation and shed works, from GAD approval to final completion.
- Site Survey & Assessment
- Conduct surveys of new construction sites and evaluate existing structures for upgrades.
- Determine project scope and resource requirements based on assessments.
- Site Clearance Coordination
- Liaise with the railway department and other authorities to secure site clearance for construction activities.
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets.
- Ensure project delivery within approved financial limits.
- Contractor Finalization & Oversight
- Finalize civil contractors and monitor their purchase-related activities to align with project requirements.
- Resource Planning & Allocation
- Develop work schedules and allocate necessary manpower and equipment to meet project timelines.
- Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise project teams including junior engineers, construction managers, workers, technicians, and contractors.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure all civil works meet prescribed quality standards and technical specifications.
- Monitor contractor performance for compliance.
- Timely Execution
- Drive all civil engineering works toward timely and efficient completion within budget constraints.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of site activities.
- Submit progress reports and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Joint Notes Preparation
- Prepare and maintain Joint Notes in coordination with the railway department, as required, with prior senior management approval.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all surveying and construction works including track installations comply with applicable rules, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Review & Quality Monitoring
- Review materials, construction methodologies, and work instructions.
- Ensure quality benchmarks, safety requirements, and risk controls are effectively implemented.
Preference will be given to candidates who have worked for Project Sites.
Office: 6 days working, Timing 9.30 am to 6.30 pm.
