Underwriting Apprentice @ Digit Insurance

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in evaluating insurance applications and determining coverage eligibility based on medical information and risk assessment.
• Review and analyze medical records, reports, and other relevant documents to assess risk.
• Collaborate with senior underwriters to develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Communicate with healthcare providers and applicants to gather additional information as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions and processes.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
• Support the underwriting team in various administrative tasks and projects.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of underwriting principles and the insurance industry.
• Medical background with knowledge of medical terminology and conditions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A degree in Medicine, Nursing, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in underwriting or a related field is a plus.

Education Qualifications: BAMS, BHMS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharma, M.Pharma

Duration: 6 months (Can be converted into full-time based on performance post completion of 6 months)
