Manager Software Engineering @ Uniphore Software

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead an engineering team to build and maintain enterprise applications at scale with heavy focus on operational and engineering excellence.

• Be accountable for the software deliverables to meet all requirements of quality, security, scalability, modifiability, extensibility, testability etc.

• Continuously improve engineering and delivery practices to increase quality, velocity, productivity and to provide better visibility on the progress of work.

• Mentor the team and invest in continuous development of high-performing team of engineers by enforcing a sense of pride and ownership in the work they do.

• Ensure work is planned, estimated, scheduled, and delivered on-time with high quality.

• Own the technical architecture, drive engineering design, and shoulder critical decisions

• Work effectively with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, developers, and QA to help shape technical product architecture & practices, roadmap and release plans

• Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, on-board and retain top talent. Motivate and develop the team to be a high-performance team.

Must Have Skills

• 10+ years experience in software development including 3+ years as a manager

• 7+ years designing, building, and managing high-scale, mission-critical real-time production systems

• Proficiency in Java/Python/Go, GRPC, SQL, REST, Tomcat, AWS stack, full familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with Spring framework is a plus.

• Proven skills in designing a nd developing simple to complex solutions including experience in designing and implementing large-scale systems.

• Proven track record building and managing high-performing software development teams
  Practical experience and ability to drive design and architecture of multiple subsystems with other senior members in the team

• Hands on experience working with big data tech like Cassandra, Kafka, Elastic search, Prometheus is highly desirable.

• Knowledge in recording solutions like redbox / verint /nice/ calabrio is a plus

• Expertise in integration with Cisco/Avaya/Genesys/Mitel telephony systems is a plus

• Experience in networking - DNS, DHCP, SSH, NAT, QoS, STP, VLAN, TCP/IP etc

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and decision-making skills

• Disciplined approach to documentation

• Ability to lead, partner, and collaborate cross functionally across an engineering organization

• Bachelor s or master s degree in engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
