Job Description
Location : Navi Mum- Juinagar (Mon- Fri alternate Sat s working) Weekend working subject to maintenance and planned activities
We are seeking an experienced Zabbix L1 to lead the deployment, management, and optimization of Zabbix monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Zabbix architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting, along with the ability to design and implement scalable monitoring strategies. This role requires collaboration with IT teams to enhance infrastructure monitoring, improve system reliability, and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Zabbix monitoring solutions for IT infrastructure and applications.
- Configure and optimize Zabbix components , including servers, proxies, agents, templates, and triggers.
- Develop custom monitoring scripts and integrations with external tools.
- Perform troubleshooting and issue resolution for Zabbix-related incidents.
- Establish alerting and notification mechanisms for proactive issue resolution.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for Zabbix environments.
- Work with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to enhance monitoring strategies.
- Provide training and documentation on Zabbix usage and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest Zabbix updates, features, and security patches .
Required Skills Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Zabbix SME, Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Zabbix architecture, components, and deployment models .
- Hands-on experience with Zabbix API, scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell), and automation .
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and networking protocols.
- Experience with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL) for Zabbix backend.
- Familiarity with SNMP, JMX, IPMI, and other monitoring protocols .
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize monitoring setups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments.
- Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef) .
- Certification in Zabbix or other monitoring tools is a plus.
