Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Quality Engineer is responsible to Form test plan, execution, and automation for Data Insights Product, Help guarantee quality of the Clients Extracts and Product and Implement automation and ci/cd best practices for modernization initiative.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform all manner of testing for new work in Data Insights (including PowerBI Dashboards and other implementations) including functional testing, regression testing, positive/negative, automation.
- Work with Product owners and developers to capture functional requirements for test purposes. Get test plans reviewed and approved by stakeholders.
- Make test plans, document test executions, maintain metrics for test suite.
- Implement and Monitor automation and manual test result trends.
- Participate in production deployment verification.
- Create or work with developers to create performance tests. Run performance tests regularly
- Monitor quality of the product from all aspects: functional and non-functional
- Collaborate with larger QA team to maintain and update QA practices according to industry standards
Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in QA with automation
- Familiarity with QA in agile setting
- Excellent SQL Skills.
- Ability to write automation tests when developers develop code related to a story
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks like TestNg, Selenium, SoapUI, etc
- Ability to leverage qTest to document test plan, cases, and execution
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and integration of automation into CI/CD
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers and product owners
- Knowledge of software development best practices. Able to monitor code quality and unit test coverage, security vulnerabilities
- Understanding Databricks Skills.
Internal Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.
- Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
- Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.
- Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management
