Backend Developer - Node @ Minfy

Job Description

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for consumption by various front-end interfaces.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Work closely with DevOps engineers to deploy and maintain applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Node.js Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and its modern ES6+ syntax.
• Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and client-side JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
• Experience with database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and API design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages (e.g., EJS, Handlebars).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving aptitude and analytical thinking.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of GraphQL and its concepts.
• Knowledge of security best practices in web development.
