Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced BI Developer with a strong background in Data Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, while also leveraging your data engineering skills to ensure efficient data integration, transformation, and storage processes. You will play a critical role in turning raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy business intelligence solutions, such as reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain and improve existing BI solutions, ensuring they are up-to-date with business needs.
- Optimize BI tools for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across different data sources and systems.
- Develop and manage data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage solutions to support BI initiatives.
- Work with data architects and other team members to design and implement data models that support efficient querying and reporting.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members in the areas of BI and data engineering.
Qualifications:
- bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as SQL Server, Redshift, or Snowflake.
- Expertise in SQL and other database query languages.
- Experience with ETL tools and processes, such as SSIS, Talend, or Apache Airflow.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
