Job Title: IT Engineer
Location: IISc Bengaluru
Job Overview:
I-STEM at IISc Bengaluru is seeking a proactive and technically skilled individual to join our team as a
IT Support Engineer. The role involves troubleshooting, system support, automation, and
infrastructure management to ensure seamless operation of hardware, software, and cloud
resources supporting our research and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals) and software issues, including cloud
services.



Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and cloud resources.
Maintain and optimize systems, monitor performance, and resolve technical issues.
Support CI/CD pipeline setup, automation, and system monitoring.
Document procedures, incident reports, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with IT teams and vendors.
Support peripherals and develop tools to improve workflows.
Technical Skills:







Scripting: Python, Bash, or Ruby.
Linux/Unix admin basics.
Database experience: MySQL/PostgreSQL.
Networking troubleshooting.
CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis.
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
