In this role, you will shape Flexera s business and product strategy at the highest levels of the company. To accomplish this, you will be responsible for building and scaling our analytics function, delivering actionable insights for Product leaders to make data-driven decisions to improve what we build, and enabling data-informed decisions across the organization.
The ideal candidate for this role understands that insights are far more powerful than an endless stream of BI dashboards. You will take ownership of the data experience for Product Analytics and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure governance and data quality. You will build reports with the business, not simply for the business. You also understand that your team is more than just a support team churning out endless new dashboards, they are there to ask questions and move the business forward. And most importantly, you are committed to understand that the KPIs and metrics we establish as a team can be measured, understood, and followed by our team because you see the end-to-end view of data.
What The Role Needs to Get Done
Own the product analytics roadmap and align insight generation with business and product goals
Manage, grow, and scale a high-performing team of analysts
Partner with executive leadership to define key performance metrics and ensure alignment with business goals
Design and maintain robust ELT pipelines, ensuring data is transformed, modeled, and production-ready
Partner with IT and engineering to help architect and operationalize a modern, scalable analytics environment
Develop frameworks and tooling for self-serve product analytics across teams (eg finance, sales, engineering, product, marketing)
Translate complex data into compelling narratives and recommendations for stakeholders
Establish data governance and quality standards across the analytics function
Stay current on analytics best practices, tools, and technologies, and drive continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or business intelligence
Strong experience designing and managing ELT workflows, including data transformation and preparation for analytics use
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and scripting languages such as Python or dbt
Familiarity with modern data platforms, cloud-based warehouses, and orchestration tools (eg, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, etc)
Experience partnering with IT to stand up analytics platforms or data infrastructure
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor s degree in a quantitative field (eg, Statistics, Math, Economics, Computer Science); MBA or advanced degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience launching and scaling a product analytics function from the ground up
Familiarity with Microsoft s data ecosystem (eg, Power BI, Fabric-related architecture)
Background in customer analytics, growth experimentation, or product insights
Familiarity with Pendo, Amplitude or Heap
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (eg, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
Ability to build and scale self-serve analytics tools for cross-functional teams
Deep curiosity and a bias toward action willing to dive into the data and systems directly
Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders
Background in management consulting or strategic product roles is a strong plus
Experience working in SaaS, eCommerce, FinTech preferred
