Job Description

Job Summary

We are building a highly scalable, AWS-like cloud native API platform, empowering multiple teams to independently develop, deploy, and manage API services. As a Spring Boot Lead Engineer, you will drive microservices development using Spring Boot, CI/CD automation, cloud-native deployments, and Kubernetes orchestration while ensuring high availability, security, and observability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Spring Boot Microservices: Design, develop, and optimize highly scalable Spring Boot microservices.
2. DevOps & CI/CD: Implement Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD pipelines for automated deployments.
3. Kubernetes & Containerization: Deploy, manage, and optimize Spring Boot services on Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform, Pulumi, Helm, and CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
5. Security & Compliance: Enforce IAM, OAuth, JWT authentication, and API security best practices.
6. Service Discovery & API Gateway: Integrate with Kong, Traefik, or Istio for microservices discovery and routing.
7. Observability & Performance: Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
8. Multi-Cloud & Resilience: Architect solutions for multi-region deployments, failover, and disaster recovery.
9. Mentorship & Code Reviews: Lead a team of engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce DevOps & microservices best practices.

Required Skills:

1. Spring Boot & Java: Strong expertise in developing and optimizing microservices.
2. Cloud & Kubernetes: AWS, Azure, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
3. CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, GitOps.
4. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation.
5. Security & Authentication: OAuth2, JWT, Vault, AWS Secrets Manager.
6. API Management: Kong, Istio, Traefik, GraphQL.
7. Observability & Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry.
8. Automation & Scripting: Python, Bash, Groovy.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Kubernetes operators, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
2. Hands-on expertise in optimizing Spring Boot for high performance
3. Familiarity with Chaos Engineering & fault tolerance strategies
4. Strong leadership & mentoring experience
