Artist - 3D @ Nextwave Multimedia

Job Description

Seeking 3d Artist with knowledge on creating assets for Video games and other forms of media

• Work with team of artists to create wide variety of high quality 3D assets and ensure consistency of the same

• Work within inter-disciplinary teams of programmers, designers and editors to port the assets into the games in an efficient manner

• Provide and accept direction within team

• Expert knowledge in 3D packages like Blender, Maya or 3DS Max

• We currently use only Blender. So should be willing to adapt and learn quickly

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Photo shop and Substance

• Expert knowledge of Unity Game Engine

• Well versed with optimization techniques for mobile games and other platforms

• Good knowledge about limitations of the target platform device and the technical constraints involved

• Strong artistic background

• Mastery of at least one 3D art discipline

• Experience and skill covering all other aspects of 3D art and animation

• Focus on modeling, texturing and lighting and at the same time be willing to work with rigs and animation

• Excellent understanding of 3D production pipeline

• Good understanding of scene composition, lighting and rendering

• A portfolio or reel that demonstrates the above

• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.

• Ability to deliver and receive constructive feedback

• Be proactive, self-motivated and work without direct supervision and willing to learn new applications if and when necessary , to mentor junior artists

• Drawing/painting skills

• Ability to contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of the project

• Experience in product/promo videos

• Understanding of current game development processes, limitations and dependencies
