Lead Software Engineer @ Kronos

Desired Candidate Profile

Kronos is looking for a passionate developer with high volume web application experience for our Noida team. The Senior Java Engineer will have experience in various object-oriented programming languages and be able to work with both front-end technologies as well as implement server-side logic.

Has an excellent understanding of programming and testing concepts, design patterns and best practices and is able translate that understanding directly to implementations

Has a deep knowledge and stays on the forefront of all development languages and frameworks utilized by our applications (Java, JavaScript, SQL, CSS, Spring, Hibernate etc.)

Quickly and efficiently find robust and effective solutions to difficult development problems

Perform insightful and constructive code reviews to help maintain and teach proper coding techniques and ensure that your fellow developers are considering all pertinent factors in order to prevent regression defects or the introduction of problematic code

Commonly recommends new technologies, methodologies and practices to increase the department s productivity and better the department s applications

Be able to quickly resolve difficult issues through analysis of the application code, 3rd party libraries, customer use cases and discussion with stakeholders

Demonstrates a well-defined knowledge of design patterns and common algorithms and exercises them in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Suggest methods and technologies to improve our applications and development practices

Able to work autonomously on complex issues where analysis of use cases, situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of various factors and involves investigating issues and code execution, potentially across all levels of the application stack from database to the browser including external libraries

Qualifications

5-8 years of full stack Java based web development experience: SQL, Java/ J2EE, MVC, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JPA or Hibernate, Spring/ EJB, XML, AJAX, application servers and web servers

Familiar with Agile development

Strong SQL skills including Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers

Preferred:

Experience in developing software solutions for Payroll and Tax management applications

Working knowledge of US payroll and tax regulations and employee & employer level tax forms including W-2, W-4, 1099 and 940

Previous experience in a SaaS or hosted solutions
