Role & responsibilities
Job Title: Civil QAQC Engineer
Job Location: Pan India (Karnataka 1st project location)
Employment mode: Permanent
Education: - B-tech./Diploma- Civil Engineering
Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
Location: Pan India
Experience: 4+ years in QA/QC for civil works, preferably in Solar EPC projects
Candidate Notice Period: Immediate joiner
Key Skills & Competencies:
1. Strong knowledge of civil engineering quality standards in Solar EPC projects.
2. Proficiency in QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and material testing procedures.
3. Experience in handling concrete, steel, and geotechnical testing.
4. Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and QA/QC software tools.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures for civil works in solar power plant construction.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with civil engineering standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
- Perform material testing for concrete, steel, soil, and aggregates as per IS codes and industry standards.
- Ensure proper execution of foundation works, RCC structures, roads, drainage, and fencing as per approved drawings.
2. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Quality Control Checklists.
- Ensure compliance with IS codes, IEC standards, and local building regulations.
- Maintain quality records, including test reports, calibration certificates, and material approval documents.
- Conduct Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for any deviations.
3. Site Coordination & Execution
- Work closely with civil contractors, project managers, and site engineers to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct pre-pour, post-pour, and reinforcement inspections for foundation works.
- Ensure proper curing, compaction, and finishing of civil structures.
- Verify the installation of mounting structures and cable trenches meets design requirements.
4. Audits & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct internal and external audits to evaluate project quality performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest corrective/preventive measures.
- Train site engineers and supervisors on quality standards and best practices.
