Job Description

Role: Oversees the daily operations of a travel agency, ensuring smooth service delivery, managing staff, meeting sales targets, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires a balance of operational leadership, customer service, and commercial strategy.&


Responsibilities


1. Business Operations Management

  • Supervise daily activities of the agency.
  • Manage bookings, cancellations, and travel arrangements.
  • Oversee the use of booking systems and software.
  • Ensure compliance with travel laws, visa regulations, and safety standards.

2. Staff Management

  • Hire, train, and supervise travel consultants and support staff.
  • Set team goals and monitor performance.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and evaluations.
  • Foster a productive and supportive work environment.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Provide expert advice on travel destinations, products, and services
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service throughout the agency.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.

4. Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Develop sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Promote travel packages, tours, and services to maximize sales.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust offerings accordingly.
  • Negotiate deals with tour operators, hotels, and airlines.

5. Marketing and Promotion

  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns (online and offline).
  • Collaborate with marketing teams for branding and advertising.
  • Organize events, travel expos, or workshops to attract customers.
  • Manage social media presence and online reviews.

6. Financial Management

  • Prepare budgets and financial reports.
  • Monitor income, expenses, and profitability.
  • Handle invoicing, payments, and travel insurance arrangements.
  • Optimize cost-efficiency without compromising service quality.

7. Strategic Planning and Development

  • Identify business growth opportunities and new markets.
  • Implement operational improvements and innovations.
  • Analyze customer trends and adapt services accordingly.
  • Plan for seasonal demand and resource allocation.

Preferred candidate profile


Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the travel industry, including:

  • 1 - 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience with GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong ability to lead, train, and motivate teams.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and team performance management.
  • Sales & Commercial Acumen
