Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior System Administrator to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of system administration, networking, and IT security, along with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Support:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows, desktops, and network devices.
- Monitor system performance and security to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
User & IT Support:
- Respond to helpdesk requests and troubleshoot system issues for employees.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including setting up accounts, permissions, and hardware.
- Maintain IT documentation, including asset inventory and user access logs.
Network & Security Maintenance:
- Support network troubleshooting, including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
- Ensure system backups, updates, and security patches are regularly applied.
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures to protect company data.
Hardware & Software Management:
- Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
- Assist with hardware setups, replacements, and troubleshooting (PCs, printers, routers, etc.).
- Support cloud-based services such as Google Workspace, Office 365, and other enterprise tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Office 365, and cloud-based services.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Understanding of firewalls, security protocols, and IT best practices.
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote desktop support tools.
