 Application Support Engineer II

Job Description

  • Provide Top-tier software support for application-related issues, including diagnosing and resolving technical problems
  • Become a subject matter expert who supplies in-depth technical and business product knowledge to multiple teams
  • Monitor application performance, support regular maintenance, and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify, report, and resolve software defects and enhancements
  • Working with different DB technologies, from traditional relational to the latest NoSQL such as Couchbase and queuing mechanisms like RabbitMQ
  • Write simple to complex DB queries to be able to fetch data for reporting or data fixes as needed Identify root cause of problems by troubleshooting logs using monitoring tools or traverse through the code as needed
  • Active participation during incidents to minimize impact and restore business functionality ASAP Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles
  • Communicate effectively with customer-facing teams to understand their needs and provide timely solutions
  • Working in 24x7 rotational shifts is required for this position Participate in on-call rotation on weekend to provide support when necessary
  • Continuously improve support processes and contribute to the development of best practices

  • Cvent's Technology Team is responsible for the design, development and support of the company s suite of cloud-based software products
  • This is a hands-on position with a primary focus on the top tier technical support for products offered by Cvent
  • As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance for our software applications
  • You will work closely with our development, QA, and customer service teams to ensure seamless application performance and resolve any issues that arise
  • This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach

In This Role, You Will:

  • Working in 24x7 rotational shifts is required for this position Participate in on-call rotation on weekend to provide support when necessary

Heres What You Need:

  • BS/ BTech/MTech/MCA in Computer Science or equivalent required
  • 2-4 years of experience in application support or a similar technical support role Strong knowledge of software applications, databases, and operating systems
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (eg, MySQL, oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or similar
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (eg, Splunk, AppD, New Relic, DataDog)
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering best in class tech support
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills aptitude for learning new technologies Knowledge of ITIL, Agile Methodologies or other IT service management frameworks
  • Experience working on ticket and bug management system such as Jira, JSD or similar

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience developing with C#, ASP.Net/any object-oriented programming language
  • Familiarity with software deployment, website analytics, web service APIs and version control systems (Github or similar)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
