Job Summary

NetApp ONTAP storage operating system is our flagship data management software and the foundational platform across NetApps on-prem storage and first- and third-party cloud storage portfolio to help organizations build out their hybrid multi-cloud data environment. 
Google Cloud NetApp Volumes is a Google Cloud native, first-party, enterprise-class, high-performance storage service. We are expanding our team and are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Technical Marketing Engineer for our cloud service.

The Google Cloud NetApp Volumes Technical Marketing Engineer is a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual with a growth mindset, setting NetApp Volumes up for the next levels of growth. They possess deep knowledge and experience across various workload categories, such as General Enterprise Filesharing, Databases (Oracle/Postgres), EPIC, Google Cloud VMware Engine Solution, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, High Performance Computing, Kubernetes, and AI/ML. 

Job Requirements
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, solution briefs, blogs, and white papers that articulate the value proposition of Google Cloud NetApp Volumes in the following deliverable categories: Technical documentation, Videos (YouTube channel), Sizing tools, Community blogs, Reference Architectures, Benchmarking tools
  • Influence product development and roadmap with field and customer perspectives.
  • Create go-to-market strategies and competitive collateral to establish technical wins.
  • Provide deal-specific support, including responding to technical RFPs and assisting with proof of concepts.
  • Conduct technical sales and partner training sessions.
  • Support product launch activities and participate in tradeshows, conferences, and technical sales training.
  • Identify whats working/not working from a pre-sales / solution perspective and make course corrections in technical messaging.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend product enhancements.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise software, IT infrastructure, cloud (preferrable Google Cloud) or technical marketing
  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud platform, management applications deployment, including configurations for Google Cloud compute, VMware engine, networking, storage, security, and virtualization.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise SAN protocols like iSCSI, NVMe over TCP is highly desired.
  • Hands-on experience in architecting, deploying and managing enterprise-scale customer environments on Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of storage & data management use cases/orchestration and data protection in an enterprise and cloud environment.
  • Experience in building and operating Test/PoC environments.
  • Ability to create customer-facing creative content, including videos, presentations, blogs, and technical documents. Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring messages to different audiences, including sales/pre-sales, partners, end customers and C-level executives.
  • Ability to lead and work with global product, marketing and sales teams.
Education
  • A Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. 
  • Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience.
