Job Description
We are seeking a talented Figma Plugin Developer with 2+ years of experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining plugins for the Figma platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, in-depth knowledge of the Figma Plugin API, and a robust portfolio showcasing successfully published plugins. In addition, the candidate should possess strong expertise in AI tool integration, including working with models like GPT for content generation, design analysis, and workflow enhancement. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Figma plugins to enhance design workflows and collaboration.
- Integrate external services and APIs, including proprietary and third-party services, into Figma plugins to extend functionality.
- Implement secure user authentication methods, within plugins to ensure authorized access to integrated services.
- Develop plugins capable of handling custom image processing tasks by interfacing with external processing services.
- Work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional plugins.
- Conduct thorough testing of plugins to ensure reliability and maintain them by addressing bugs and implementing updates as needed.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the Figma Plugin API and experience in developing Figma plugins.
- Hands-on experience with plugin submission, review, and approval process on Figma Community Portal.
- Experience with API integrations and handling data exchange between Figma and external services.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols and implementation of user authentication within plugins.
- Familiarity with image processing techniques and integrating image processing services.
- Strong understanding of AI tool integration, including experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAIs GPT) for automating tasks such as content creation, UI analysis, and plugin-assisted workflows.
- Ability to design and implement AI-enhanced features that assist in design decision-making and user productivity within Figma.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience developing Figma plugins.
- Proven track record of successfully publishing and maintaining plugins in the Figma Community.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
