Job Description

• Proven experience with Apache Cassandra, Oracle and MySQL DB.
• Strong understanding of NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Proven experience of Database migration.
• Good understanding of RDBMS.
• Proficiency in CQL (Cassandra Query Language).
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Unix Shell scripting
• DevOps supporting tools experience - Git, K8, Docker, YAML, etc.
• Cloud knowledge (GCP/Azure preferred)
• Agile & Scrum knowledge

• Lead the initial setup and configuration of Cassandra databases.
• Design and execute data migration strategies from one Cassandra Data center to another data center.
• Design and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to Cassandra.
• Develop and implement best practices for database architecture and data modeling.
• Monitor database performance and conduct tuning as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues.
• Document migration processes and database configurations.
• Provide training and support to team members on Cassandra best practices.

• Knowledge of data replication and consistency models.
• Experience with monitoring tools like DataStax OpsCenter.
• Understanding of distributed systems and architecture.
