Position:- AIX Administrator L3
Qualification:- IBM Certified AIX (7.1 & 7.2 & latest) System Administrator / Level 3 + Graduate
Experience:- 6+ Years
Location:- Noida
Notice Period:- Early joiners preffered max 1 month
Role & responsibilities
OS and Server installation / Re-Installation.
- Installations/Re-installation & Configuration of OS as per requirement.
- Patch Management (Update / Preview / Rollback)
- Timely Implementation & Closure of Audit/VAPT recommendations on OS/Hardware/ Middleware/Servers:
- VAPT Closures, OS hardening, OS Patching, Upgrade at OS level/version, Firmware level & Hardware level, OS Troubleshooting
- Hardening of Servers, Carrying Server Configurations, Patching of Server so that it complies with Bank's security policy & Audit observations.
- LPAR Creation and/or Deletion.
- Cluster Deployment and Formation (2 or 3 node, Active/Passive).
- Upgrade/Downgrade of OS and firmware for in place upgrades from Lower to Higher Stable Version (or vice versa) on servers and hardware.
- Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Runtimes and middlewares like IIS, Weblogic, JBoss etc.
- Server Reinstallation and configuration due to Incident
- Restoring OS from MKSYS backup
- Orderly startup and shutdown of listener services, databases and database servers.
- Creation of Oracle databases on the AIX hardwar as and when required
- Cluster Management (HACMP) - Cluster Administration(HACMP) /Installation/Re-installation
- Managing Disk space, Processor Utilization, Network Utilization related to server.
- Managing Volume Groups (Creation / exporting / Varyon / varyoff )
- AIX Security Expert security hardening
- IBM Hardware Management Console Management.
- Define Account Policy
- Password length and Password Age
- Define Administrator / Supervisor Password restrictions
- File system Administration, Backup Configuration.
- Performance management for Disk / Storage / Switches
- Restoration Drill
- Knowledge on Storage switches, NetApp filers
- Exposure on SAN , Exposure on File System Management (JFS, JFS2)
- Volume Management (LVM)
- Device Masking / Port Setting / Fabric Zoning
- LPAR / HPAR creation, deletion, troubleshooting etc
- Preparation of MIR /RCA for Major Incidents
- Reinstallations rise due to incidents
- Vendor coordination
- Incident / Request Fulfillment / Change management
- Fine tuning for optimum performance.
- Creation of shell scripts or batch programs to automate certain procedures
- Necessary support for restoration, change management activities, downtimes and during DC-DR drills.
- Securing the AIX Network configurations by IPSec and Packet Filtering for creating firewall rules.
- Event log analysis at regular interval for maintaining the integrity of servers
