Job Description

Job Summary
As Senior Business Analyst in the Corporate application division, you would be working on some of our latest ventures to Support and Enhance cutting-edge SaaS business applications. You will be helping us with coordination, documentation, test execution, conducting POC, post-production maintenance, and support of the Oracle Cloud SaaS enterprise application production support and continuous improvement of the application landscape.

This position acts as a critical liaison between the companys financial functions including Corporate Controllership, Regional Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Business Assurance, and the companys IT organization.

Responsibilities

Business Support

  • Provides first-line support to users of financial applications
  • Responding to business user queries
  • Providing one-on-one support, explanations, and guidance to users regarding finance operations
  • Triaging data issues, process issues, and business user errors
  • Liaise with IT and business users to define and prioritize business-related issues associated with systems
  • Partner with other system owners to ensure data quality, timing, and financial reporting impacts are fully understood

Business Requirements Analysis

  • Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements, within and across functional areas
  • Drives best practices during requirements gathering and modeling
  • Has a strong focus on gathering core requirements, beyond stated requirements and correctly placing these within a broader context
  • Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders

Stakeholder Management

  • Manages stakeholder expectations and communications within and beyond the functional track
  • Knows business environment well enough to identify and proactively include the correct stakeholder
  • Interacts regularly with senior management-level stakeholders and demonstrates value from realized projects

Solution Design

  • Responsible to design and document cross-functional and global solutions, drawing on the functional expertise of functional and technical team members or vendors, as appropriate
  • Advises on solutions prepared by peers or supporting team, and champions good design practice
  • Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business processes within and across functional areas
  • Drives best practices during requirements gathering and modeling
  • Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders

Documentation

  • Documents and reviews broader team documentation
  • Supports the team in identifying and defining relevant documentation templates pertaining to solution delivery
  • Is a champion for knowledge transfer to enable/empower other team members

Functional Design

  • Develops functional designs for applications, integrations, and conversions
  • Ability to work on multiple functional areas and integrations with third-party products
  • Keeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs
  • Reviews functional designs and obtains signoffs with the cross-functional business and IT teams
  • Provides inputs into business processes based on design capabilities
  • Champions sustainable, forward-looking functional designs
  • Learn and adapt to new technologies in a short duration

Testing & Test Design

  • Execute System integration testing
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing for new systems or enhancement releases. This involves assistance with the creation of test cases and follow-up to ensure users complete testing per the schedule
  • Coordinates integration testing validates test cases with stakeholders for user acceptance testing and training and obtains signoffs
  • Coordinates defects clarification, triage, and coordinate resolution with engineering teams
  • Performs Mock close on financial systems

Project Management

  • Manages small to medium application releases and projects
  • Manages stakeholder expectations
  • Design release scope and schedule in line with a business goal, prioritization, and IT capacity
  • Work with the team of analysts and leads implementing new cloud business applications for Equinix

System Configurations

  • Configures applications in line with business goals
  • Designs forward-looking configurations by recognizing future needs aligned with the business roadmap
  • Develops configuration standards

Day to Day Support (Production Support)

  • Supports and trains junior resources and oversees quality in triage and troubleshooting practices
  • Leads troubleshooting efforts on critical issues with cross-functional teams through the resolution
  • Identifies improvements to address repeat issues

Training and Change Management

  • Works with functional leadership teams to set expectations and conduct planning and execution of SME training activities
  • Defines, communicates, and implements support and engagement plans
  • Analyzes adoption rates and issues and assesses business case realization and proposes solutions to improve
  • Provides Adhoc training to various financial users on key financial applications

Vendor Management

  • Manages/leads individual consulting resources as assigned
  • Participates in vendor advisory boards and user groups
  • Executes medium-scale vendor evaluations, pricing negotiations, and software acquisitions
  • Prepares management communications and gets stakeholder input for recommendations

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Oracle Cloud Applications with multi-ledger, multi-currency, and multi-GAAP environments
  • Extensive experience in a couple of Oracle Cloud Modules AP, AR, CM, PPM,FAH, PO, INV, and AGIS
  • Must have worked in a leading consulting company or in a well-known international Company in the implementation, support of the projects, and production support
  • Have in-depth finance and accounting functional knowledge to understand business requirements and convert them into functional and configurable solutions
  • Worked as Sr Systems Analyst or Support Analyst for Oracle Fusion ERP application modules
  • Hands-on experience in designing and configuring ERP application implementation and maintenance
  • Worked in a couple of Oracle fusion EPM application modules like BPCS, EDMCS, TRCS, ARCS, and PCMCS will be considered with priority
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end accounting transactions from sub-ledgers to GL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field
  • 6 to 10 years of experience working within a large multinational company's finance and accounting organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Willingness to travel occasionally if needed
  • Preference to Accounting, computer science, or mathematics-related fields of study
