Title: Senior Business Analyst (Data Analyst)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Comes with BFSI expertise and is open to learning into other industries simultaneously.
- Documents the detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
- Ensures that requirements align with business goals and regulatory standards.
- Helps in identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements in BFSI engagements.
- Competent in data analysis and presentation using a variety of software platforms, including Power BI, Excel, etc.
- Collaborates with data engineers and data architects to define data models and ensure data quality.
- Participates in data mapping exercises to understand data flows and relationships.
- Develops and maintains data dictionaries and metadata documentation.
- Conducts/ supports user acceptance testing (UAT) for the projects.
Skills Required:
- 3+ years of consulting/BA experience, with a focus on data projects
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Experience in data modeling techniques (e.g., relational, dimensional)
- Strong understanding of data quality principles and best practices.
- Ability to lead a team with a sound work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and exceptional client service
- Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft/Google Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Competent with Microsoft Visio, JIRA, and other project management tools for managing and documenting business needs.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodology, sprint planning, product backlog grooming, story estimations, etc.
- Well-developed industry expertise in the BFSI domain.
Good to Have:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik Sense)
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of the insurance domain
- Project Management experience
