Lead Software Engineer @ Honeywell

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a strong background in C++, C#, MFC, SQL, and DCS (Distributed Control Systems). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of industrial and control system applications.

This is a work-from-office position requiring hands-on expertise in complex software systems for industrial automation or similar domains.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software applications using C++, C#, and MFC frameworks.
• Develop and manage SQL Server databases including writing queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Design and implement Distributed Control System (DCS) applications or integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, electrical, and systems engineering.
• Maintain and enhance existing software systems by identifying areas for modification and improvement.
• Participate in code reviews, system testing, and debugging.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use.
• Provide technical support for deployed systems and address customer-specific issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of proven software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++, C#, and Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).
• Deep understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with DCS platforms and industrial control systems.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
