Job Description
Vehicle project Planning
Under the hierarchic link of Planning Program (Program RPP) and under the operational link of the Head of Vehicle Project, the Vehicle Project Planning
Fits the standard local SOD to the vehicle projects, updates, records and classifies the versions of the project's macro schedule
Elaborates and validates macro schedules for the vehicle project and ensures their consistency
Verifies the quality of the planning within product and process teams and supports them, if needed, to the implementation of preventive or curative plans
Creates and coordinates project's dashboards and KPIs
Is in charge of the convergence of prototype budgets at each phase of the project and guarantees their respect
Establishes detailed planning of prototype means, updates them and manages their realization until their delivery to the customers, from the first mule cars to series production vehicles
Is in charge of the achievement of the objectives set on the project car pool
Improves the project management standards by proposing his lesson learned for continual improvement.
Therefore, by assisting the Program Planning Project Vehicle Planning
1- Analyzes and proposes the schedule
- Elaborates the macro schedule (= "first level schedule") in collaboration with the RPP. Highlights the project's specific characters for the adaptation of the reference schedule.
- For an international program, takes the constraints linked to geographical areas and the interactions between car shapes into account
- Establishes the detailed schedules necessary to the management of periods or specific methodologies to the project. (For example the body in white on production welding equipment for all the VRS DV phase, without any beforehand prototype installation).
- Defines the general schedule and the key gates of project officialization, at the project's definition stages (MVN, DFNu, OCM RO...), and makes so that project actors support them.
- Manages the coherence of the macro-schedule with "second level" schedule of each product and process team, for each of these phases.
- Establishes the launch plan: elaborates the federating program and updates it.
2- Manages through the schedule the development and industrialization phases
- Manages the respect of specified schedules; and, in case of differences, directs product and process teams to the implementation of the action plans necessary to reach the planned objectives, or limit deviations,
- Elaborates the detailed schedule of VRS DV, VRS UT (if necessary) and EL:
Lists customers' needs in complete and partial means,
Takes industrial capacity schedules into account, as well as quality requirements to pass the gates,
Plans means using the TETRIS tool,
Guarantees means' delivery dates,
- Defines and validates the batch method ("mthode des lots") vehicles' definition in collaboration with Quality and Brands,
- Integrates needs of special vehicles in detailed schedules:
Analyzes the constraints with the team in charge of the Press Vehicles Pool (RPVP),
Orders vehicles,
Reports to the RPV by sending him the assembly reports set during the daily meeting with the manufacturer,
Prioritizes vehicles in touch-up area in collaboration with the Press Vehicles Pool Technician.
- Establishes and updates the vehicles products list (vehicle pool management, vehicles upgrades).
3- Guarantees the respect of the Resource budget
- At each significant phase of the project (pre-VRS=mule cars, VRS, EL), he lists and optimizes the needs of prototypes expressed by synthesis and mechanical roles, according to the PIV (Integration and Validation Plan), in order to fit into the budget allocated by the RPP.
- Throughout project's life, he performs prototypes budget expenditures and validates the estimates in accordance with the defined prototype budget.
4- Creates and coordinates project's dashboards
- Sets up and monthly guarantees the reporting of all project's actors in the standard KPIs, in coherence with the OBEYA's indicator coordination.
- In this report, he establishes (consolidation/unicity) the consistency between sub-system technical responsible values and project values.
- Manages vehicles pool under project's responsibility: defines end-of-year objectives, keeps information up to date.
5- Involves himself in the improvement and implementation of operation modes and referentials especially by taking part to project's formalized lesson learned.
