Job Summary:-
The Security Engineer is a member of ThinkSys corporate security team responsible for safeguarding the companys and customers information security interests. The role requires keen interest in designing, developing, and maintaining automated security solutions to protect digital assets. The Security Engineer would also have to exhibit decent communication and convincing skills while liaising with cross-functional teams to enhance the security posture.
Functional Responsibilities:-
- Integrate security tools and platforms with automation frameworks.
- Automate and orchestrate incident response processes.
- Design and implement automated scripts and tools.
- Collaborate and develop automation solutions as per business requirements.
- Thorough documentation of configurations, processes & procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:-
- Proven expertise in any SOAR tool like Windmill, Splunk, MS Sentinel etc.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with Git-based version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
- In-depth understanding of the functioning of security tools and platforms such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanners, EDR solutions among others.
- Strong grasp on fundamentals of Networking & Cyber Security.
- Relevant security certifications are an added advantage.
- Creative problem solving skills with a Can-Do attitude and a Try Harder mindset.
- Decent communication and convincing skills with a collaborative bent of mind.
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- Passion for Cyber Security is a must.
