Job Description
- Contribute to the design, deployment and documenting best practices for deploying Gigamon solutions in tandem with ecosystem partner tools like EDR, XDR, SIEM, NPM, APM etc.
- Collaborate closely with Gigamon Sales Engineers and technology partners in strategic demo, design discussions and proof-of-concepts for strategic and complex customer deployments.
- Translate complex customer requirements into innovative and technically viable solutions.
- Use the latest technologies to identify use cases as well as design and validate highly scalable traffic visibility solutions that wisely leverage customer resources.
- Apply programming skills to automate recommended solutions and develop tools for sales engineering team.
- Create reference architectures / validated designs recommending best practices for Gigamon s Cloud customers.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Network or Security, related field
- 10+ years of experience in Enterprise or Industrial control systems managing IT, Network or security operations, with wider understanding about the IT enabled infrastructure and necessary tools for their monitoring and maintenance.
- Ability to identify scope for optimization and adopting automation/orchestration utilities like python, terraform, ansible, cloud formation.
- Understanding and working knowledge of network protocols like ARP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, RADIUS, TACACS, GRE, VXLAN, VLAN, IAM and Access federation, SSO etc
- (Bonus) Knowledge of Telecom, service provider technologies, 5G communication, OT/IOT knowledge and its protocols would also be considered.
- Strong networking background (CCNA, Network+, Security + or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge and experience in administering public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI ..etc) and private could (VMware vSphere, VMware NSX, Openstack, Kubernetes, Nutanix) would be a plus.
- Experience with one or more SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK, etc.)
- Knowledge of security protocols and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.)
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Ability to be both hands-on and think strategically
- Adept at prioritizing activities and leading best-in-class solutions.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to convey complex ideas in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences, including engineering teams, customers, partners, and sales engineers.
