Position OverviewThis role provides counsel and advice to management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Serves as a InfoSphere DataStage Software Engineer. This role works with teams of technical professionals to help timely delivery of new system capabilities, implement enhancements and support existing systems.

ResponsibilitiesInstallation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting of InfoSphere DataStage Client and ServerResponsible for InfoSphere DataStage administration and server maintenance/Upgrades/patches/install Build and Monitor server usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements for ETL Applications (Administrative Views for InfoSphere DataStage, Server Usage Report)Expertise on AWS and Azure Coud and related technologiesExpertise on CI/CD process using Jenkins/UDeploy/GitExpertise on IDE (Integrated Development Environment)Performance tuning and Server management of InfoSphere DataStage server environment (clustering, Load balancing).Work with Business Teams for managing user and group permissions, Workflows and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources and Data ConnectionsManage and support migration of content from development to production environments.Provide appropriate training and support to business users on the use of InfoSphere DataStage tools, best practices and standards.Assist in the identification and migration of data sources to InfoSphere DataStage server.Document best practices for development and administration of the InfoSphere DataStage platform.Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities.Required to monitor/Handle InfoSphere DataStage and InfoSphere DataStage services during windows servers maintenance.Configure/Optimize Servers settings. Apply trace logs on servers in case of troubleshooting complex incidents.Troubleshooting dashboards issues, system slowness. Create ODBC, OLE connections for SQL DB servers and Implement Firewall rules on InfoSphere DataStage processing servers.Linux server setup, deployment, and maintenanceProvide off-hours and weekend support in an on-call rotation.Section 4QualificationsSpecify the skills, experience, and education required for the role.
