Job Description

WHO WE ARE:
You are a skilled and experienced data engineer with a strong background in data engineering Big Data. You have expertise in working with Google Big query, Apache Airflow as well as traditional ETL tools. We are looking for someone to lead the way offline for Zinnia. Your ability to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams allows you to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
WHAT YOU LL DO:
  • Build the next gen data infrastructure for Zinnia using frameworks such as dbt, Apache Airflow, and Google Big Query
  • Design, build, and optimize data workflows, ensuring seamless data integration across realtime, nearline and offline data realms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex data-related issues.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and recommend best practices for data engineering and integration.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in the team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
WHAT YOU LL NEED:
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10-14 years of experience in big data, data engineering, or a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and project management within the data engineering domain.
  • Strong expertise in data integration, transformation, and scheduling processes using tools like Big Query, traditional databases.
  • Proficiency in ELT/ETL processes and tools such as Informatica, DBT, Airbyte, Singer.io, Meltano, Apache Airflow or similar within the context of data engineering.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and technologies, including data platforms and services, as they relate to data engineering.
  • In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts, practices, and technologies relevant to data engineering.
  • Knowledge of data quality and governance principles, with experience implementing best practices within the data lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive results in a fast-paced environment within the Interface team
