Role & responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead Data & Analytics with a minimum of 10 years in the data domain. The ideal candidate should be proficient in modern data platforms including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI, and have strong data
This role requires hands-on experience with at least ONE leading cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and deep understanding of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Orchestration concepts. Experience in AI/ML is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable data solutions using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI
- Design and implement robust data models supporting complex reporting and analytics use cases (dimensional/star schema, normalized, and semantic models)
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into data architecture and reporting solutions
- Guide development teams through best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and visualization
- Oversee data integration and orchestration using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Fabric Pipelines, or similar
- Drive implementation of data governance, data quality, and MDM frameworks
- Stay abreast of new technologies and recommend modern approaches in cloud, data engineering, and AI/ML
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Data & Analytics
- Strong expertise in:
- Data Modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical; dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema)
- Databricks (Delta Lake, Notebooks, PySpark/Scala)
- Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Pipelines, OneLake)
- Power BI (DAX, data modeling, visualization best practices)
- Experience working with one or more cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Deep knowledge of:
- Data Warehousing architectures and best practices
- Business Intelligence strategy and dashboard/report development
- Data Governance and MDM implementation
- Data Orchestration using tools like ADF, Airflow, or Fabric pipelines
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Git-based version control
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor and lead technical teams
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to AI/ML tools and workflows (e.g., MLflow, Azure ML, Databricks ML)
- Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines and analytics solutions
- Knowledge of data catalog tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra)
- Relevant certifications in Azure, AWS, Power BI, or Databricks
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
