Akamai Cloud Support is a collaborative and customer-focused team supporting strategic accounts across APJ. We work together to resolve complex issues quickly, continuously learn from each other, and share feedback to enhance Akamais products and services.
Make a difference to our customers
Be the first point of contact for customers, solving complex technical issues. Collaborate across teams to find solutions, proactively mitigate risks, and ensure minimal disruption to clients.
As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Offering effective solutions through tickets, emails, calls, and chat, resolving customer queries promptly and professionally.
- Working independently to manage incidents and escalations to closure
- Partnering with Sales, Services, Engineering, and Support teams to drive customer success on the Akamai platform.
- Managing customer support of special high-profile events, such as the Olympics. World cup and other global events
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 1-3 years of experience and a bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS
- Demonstrate understanding of fundamental computing concepts: Linux, Virtualization and Cloud Computing technologies like Containers, Kubernetes, VPCs, Storage
- Demonstrate understanding of networks, DNS, Routing, Load balancing, Firewalls, and key protocols like HTTP, SSL/TLS and TCP/IP.
- Have Knowledge on Web Applications.
- Be experienced in providing technical solutions and support to customers
- Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally with customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Demonstrate aptitude for building trusted relationships with customers and team members
