Marathi To English Book Translator & Reader @ Global Sports

Job Description

GSEAMS is looking for a skilled Marathi-to-English book translator and reader to help adapt acclaimed Marathi novels and non-fiction titles into fluent, engaging English. Youll play a key role in making regional literature accessible to a broader audience while preserving the original flavor and depth of the content.

Key Responsibilities:
Translate Marathi books into natural, polished English
Retain narrative tone, character essence, and cultural context
Deliver English summaries/transcriptions when required
Coordinate with editors and the content development team

Required Skills:
Excellent command over both Marathi and English (written and spoken)
Proven experience in literary or long-form translation
Strong understanding of cultural nuances and idiomatic usage
Efficient time management and adherence to deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Literature, Journalism, Linguistics, or similar
Prior work with Marathi literary texts preferred
Familiarity with MS Word, Google Docs, and google translation tools is a must.
