Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues
- Configuring and supporting next-generation firewall platforms, including Palo Alto
- Monitoring network performance to ensure system availability and reliability
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades of Cisco routers/switches as well as Palo Alto firewalls. Maintenance will including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Provide level 2 support and share in the 24 x 7 support responsibilities for clients international network
- Troubleshoot routing issues in BGP and OSPF
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution globally
- Apply infrastructure as code principles to the network configurations utilizing tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Desired Candidate Profile
- 5 6 years Cisco router/switch experience
- 2 3 years of routing experience (BGP and OSPF preferred)
- 2 3 years of experience with VPN IPSEC site-to-site tunnels
- 2 3 years of firewall support, preferably with Palo Alto
- Seeks efficiencies through automation of routine tasks and configurations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven advanced troubleshooting methodology and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well within a nimble team
- Detail and process-oriented team player
- Ability to manage an active task/project list and consistently meet deadlines
- CCNA preferred
