Designation: Assistant Manager - Claims

Reporting to: Sr. Manger - Claims

Function: Operations & Claims

Key Purpose

• Claim assessment / adjudication / evaluation / decision
• Support in drafting requirements for Claims System / automation / new products, its maintenance and improvement
• Fraud mitigation
• Customer satisfaction

Role Responsibilities: (Broad Job Responsibilities)

• Responsible for adjudicating individual death, rider & Group claims as per policy T & C & regulatory guidelines
• Co-ordination with investigation agencies, Re-Insurers
• Identifying & highlighting emerging fraud trends
• Responsible for performing system related testing and ensuring completion within defined timelines
• Process documentation & MIS preparation
• Management & handling of claims helpdesk / queries related to claim process
• Handling queries related to claim process and management of claims helpdesk (i.e. responding to customers, partners, sales, industry mails)

Key Internal customers

• Sales, Partner, Customer Service, Finance, IT, Legal & Compliance

Qualification

• Any Graduate/ Post-Graduate (preferably Medic/ Paramedic)
• Licentiate/Associate/Fellow from Insurance Institute of India

Experience

• Should have worked in the Claims Department of a Life Insurance Co. for a minimum of 3-4 years

• Excellent analytical & communication skills
• Clearly demonstrates energy and perseverance towards achievement of goals
