The Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Senior Credit Fund Accounting Team in a mid level role. This position will oversee all closed-ended fund accounting operations, working closely with the clients Fund Administrators, Relationship Managers, and Operations Heads within the U.S. The team is responsible for providing comprehensive fund accounting services for closed-ended funds.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting, specifically within the financial services sector. Private equity experience is mandatory, along with a strong understanding of the Private Equity Fund industry and a proven track record in leading and managing teams successfully. Experience with Investran and other accounting platforms would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fund administrators and team members, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of fund accounting services.
- Manage a variety of funds, including Private Equity and Private Equity Direct Funds.
- Handle complex P&L allocations across multiple entities within fund structures.
- Assist teams in performing waterfall calculations and ensure their accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with mandated operational procedures and checklists.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to team members.
- Oversee task allocation and delegation to ensure optimal team efficiency.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within fund accounting operations.
- Manage team capacity to support new business growth.
- Act as a primary escalation point for client inquiries and issue resolution.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external counterparts.
- Participate in new business pitches and assist in resource planning for service delivery.
- Contribute to projects and product development initiatives within fund accounting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics (or international equivalent).
- 10 years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 7+ years in Private Equity Fund Accounting.
- Strong experience in Bank debts, bonds, and senior credit instruments are mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of the Private Equity industry, including fund structures, accounting principles, and regulations.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and GAAP as they apply to funds.
- Proficiency with Private Equity accounting platforms such as Investran, Efront, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of securities, financial instruments, and fund operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and overall proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet deadlines and client expectations.
