Job Description
In your role as IT Technology Consultant for VLAB, you will evaluate and challenge requestor requirements while always having a service mindset in place seeking ways for fulfilling and serving our ECS community. Together with our managed service partners, you ensure delivery of systems in a timely fashion without compromising on the quality and managing the entire landscape. To improve our overall TCO you constantly create and work on ideas reducing our footprint and automating daily processes.
Following activities will be part of your role:
Analyze, challenge, and align on new VLAB system landscape requests
Manage the VLAB towards a cost-efficient self-organized and transparent lab environment
In close alignment with the VLAB Core Team, continuously improve and enhance the ECS VLAB governance model & Service Catalogue
Drive issue resolution together with the team and utilizing the expert network
Identify areas of improvement and initiate the change/automation request
Take measures to establish and keep central ECS VLAB tools & repositories clean
Guide VLAB CTCs (Cloud Technical Consultants) responsible for setting up the system landscapes
Take ownership of assigned activities
What you'll bring
Good infrastructure knowledge (virtualization, storage technologies, ideally hyperscaler)
Hands-on experience in SAP technologies (Databases, SAP Basis, ABAP, JAVA)
Basic understanding and usage of reporting tools
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Good inter-personal and team skills
Quick learner, self-starter and motivated to dig into new technologies and topics
Fluent in spoken and written English
