Principal Lead - Quality Engineer & Automation @ Ameriprise Financial

Software Developer with 10+ years of experience in developing applications using Java, Python, Golang and has good understanding of cloud technologies.
Knowledge of container environments like Docker, Kubernetes.
Experience in Test-driven development, CI/CD process, continuous testing, Agile/Scrum practices with Github/Jira/Jenkins/Collaborator or similar platforms.
Experience with common open-source tools platforms
The candidate is expected to have strong debugging, triaging and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities
Work with diverse cross-functional development teams to determine the direction of platform development to improve on overall operation.
Work to create solutions to scaling out our software features.
Problem solving mindset.
Create features to drive our automation efforts and ensure for speedier implementations.

Required Qualifications
Familiarity with different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
Proficiency in various phases of the system development life cycle including project planning, analysis, design, programming and unit-testing.
Experience in software development using CI/CD tools
Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
Knowledge of client/server and object-oriented software development utilizing
Programming Languages: Java/J2EE, Python, GoLang
Web Frameworks: Spring MVC/REST, Spring Boot, or any MVC J2EE Framework
ORM Frameworks: JPA and Hibernate
3 - 4 years of software development experience in designing, implementing distributed OLTP systems
2+ years of experience with Tomcat or other Application servers
Good hands-on working knowledge in RDBMS including Oracle, PostgreSQL.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in Django framework.
Knowledge of UI Frameworks like Angular and/or React is a plus
Federated Identity and Authorization knowledge or experience as a plus
Experience in DevOps and microservices would be preferred
Proficiency with AWS development tools
Experience in Financial industry a plus
