About E&S Team
This shift has bought about an increased requirement of digital assets, infrastructure, upskilling of teachers and content. With the requirement of tech-enabled learning solutions to only accelerate further, the Government is laying down new frameworks and adopting an even more holistic and futuristic approach towards education and skill development. The education and skill development practice of KPMG in India comprises a team of experienced professionals delivering forward-looking advisory services across the spectrum, such as K-12 education including Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), foundational literacy and numeracy skills, Technical and Vocational Education, and Training (TVET), higher education, education technology, and supplementary education.

About Job role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Public K-12 team as an Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data analytics and large-scale education delivery, with a preference for experience in Assessments and/or Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). The role requires close collaboration with state education departments (SSA, SCERT, Samagra Shiksha) and a proven track record in system transformation projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Propose data-driven solutions to improve school education under Samagra Shiksha
  • Develop vision and charter documents for key domains, especially Assessments and M&E, in collaboration with SSA, SCERT, and other state bodies
  • Analyze and synthesize global education trends and best practices to inform state-level strategies
  • Generate actionable insights from large-scale education data to support decision-making
  • Lead and facilitate strategic review meetings with senior officials in state education departments
  • Ensure effective coordination between state teams and the Project Management Unit (PMU)
  • Design and implement systemic capacity-building programs for education department staff
  • Oversee the rollout of education reform initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
  • Continuously evaluate ongoing initiatives and recommend improvements based on feedback and data
  • Promote a culture of learning and adaptation within the team and among stakeholders

Preferred Experience

  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in consulting, program management, or education reform
  • Experience working with or within government education bodies such as SSA, SCERT, or Samagra Shiksha
  • Exposure to large-scale education delivery, assessments, and M&E frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data tools and visualization platforms
