Job Description
Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all kitchen tools, dishes, and equipment are properly cleaned and stored. This position supports the chefs and kitchen staff by keeping the kitchen running smoothly and hygienically. As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas. You will also assist in receiving and storing deliveries, disposing of waste, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
Organize and store clean dishes and equipment
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables properly
Maintain sanitation and hygiene standards
Support chefs and kitchen staff as needed
Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages
Follow safety procedures and guidelines
Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning tools
