Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable backend systems using cutting-edge technologies, ensuring robust
performance and seamless integration with frontend applications
- Lead the design and development of RESTful APIs, focusing on efficiency, security, and ease of
consumption by client applications
- Spearhead the adoption of microservices architecture, orchestrating the decomposition of monolithic
systems into modular, maintainable services
- Drive the implementation of cloud-native solutions, leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP to enhance system
reliability and scalability
- Optimize database management strategies, including schema design, query optimization, and data
migration plans to support growing data volumes
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of code quality, best practices, and continuous
learning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
and architectural designs
- Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms to ensure system stability and facilitate quick
issue resolution
- Drive the adoption of test-driven development (TDD) practices, ensuring comprehensive unit and
integration testing coverage
- Conduct regular code reviews and architectural assessments to maintain high standards of code quality
and system design
Foundational Skills
- System Design: Proven expertise in designing large-scale, distributed systems that can handle
high-volume transactions and data processing
- Scalable Architecture: Demonstrated ability to architect solutions that can seamlessly scale to
accommodate growing user bases and data volumes
- Database Management: In-depth knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in
optimizing queries and designing efficient schemas
- API Design: Mastery in creating RESTful and GraphQL APIs that are secure, performant, and
developer-friendly
- Cloud Computing: Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their native
services for building resilient, scalable applications
- Microservices: Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architectures, including service
discovery, load balancing, and inter-service communication
- Programming: Expert-level skills in Java, Python, or Go, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and
maintainable code
- Spring Boot: Deep understanding of the Spring Boot framework for building production-ready applications
quickly and efficiently
