• Attention to detail and an eye for spotting mistakes in both spelling and grammar
• Ensure that a zero-error copy is delivered
• Ensure consistency in style, tone, and language usage

• Be familiar with proofreading symbols which are standard and recognized under printing and publishing

Qualifications And Skills

• 2- 4 years of Experience as a Proofreader in media, entertainment, short form (blogs, articles), online content
• Able to deal with a large daily volume of 300-500 words of content.
• A graduate with expert-level written and spoken English and impeccable grammar.
• Excellent command of the English language
• Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules
• Attention to detail and exceptional proofreading skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in using editing tools and software (Grammarly)
• Familiarity with digital marketing and graphic design concepts is a plus
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
