Job Description
Job Requirements
1.Chemical engineer with 15+ years experience of working in Upstream Oil and Gas for Exploration and Production (E&P) assets. He / She must has worked with process of Onshore / Offshore / Oil / LNG / Gas treatment facilities.
2.Expert shall be competent to perform /guide the team of Senior/Junior process engineers to perform System level studies. Examples of systems are - Separation, Oil and Gas Processing, Gas compression, Flare Systems (HP, LP), Vent Systems (HP, LP) etc.
3.Expert shall guide Engineers on Process Simulations, calculations and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.
4.Expert in process simulation tools like Pro-II, Aspen, HTRI, FLARENET, etc.
5.Expertise in developing and reviewing process documents like PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, Safe charts.
6.Proven skills in routine process calculations [Blowdown/Depressurization(MDMT) studies, Heat dissipation study, Thermal design of Heat exchanger, Compressor/Pipeline surge analysis, Line & Equipment sizing]
Able to predict performances of existing equipment expected to operate in different conditions (including risk analysis of vibration)
Troubleshooting studies : to compare actual performances vs. theoretical ones
7.Endorsement of Equipment Datasheets and Instrument process datasheet for Control valves, Flow elements and Pressure Safety Valves
8.Validate process design summary and description
9.Working knowledge of PI modules viz. PI Process book, PI Vision, PI data extraction is preferred.
10.Expert shall guide the engineer who will collect data for identified Assets in the areas of Energy Use, Venting, and Flaring. They will analyze the values and quantify GHG, fill appropriate templates and provide technical recommendations for GHG reduction.
11.Expert shall be competent to provide recommendations on GHG reduction. The individuals shall operate with minimal supervision and will be an extension of customer CFR program.
12.Participate in workshop with customer on Process studies & GHG reduction
13.Expertise in HAZOP & HAZID studies
14.Expert will assist the team for all technical exchanges and ensure technical Interface seamlessly.
15.Should have strong communication skill, business acumen to identify opportunities & scale the team
Examples of typical tasks that need to be undertaken in the work stream Process Simulation:
1.Understand the problem we want to solve, collect all necessary data previous analysis files, conditions, P&IDs, other documents.
2.Estimate efforts, timelines and dependencies to solve the problem
3.Build / Update the model for analysis (including various scenarios, boundary conditions and acceptance criteria)
4.Review results and make recommendations
Examples of typical tasks that need to be undertaken in the work stream GHG Reduction:
1.Study P&ID, Data sheets of the asset
2.Collect Energy, Flaring and Venting Data from PI Server, Fix data issues, Analyze values and create mapping reports
3.Conduct System Studies and identify GHG reduction opportunities and provide recommendations
4.Support leader for Asset Workshops
5.Establish GHG saving evaluations
