Job Description

Job Summary:


We are looking for a seasoned L3 BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM) Engineer with 10+ years of experience in enterprise monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advanced support, configuration, integration, and optimization of BMC TSOM in a large-scale IT environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the L3 escalation point for all BMC TSOM-related issues.
  • Provide expert-level support for BMC TrueSight Infrastructure Management (TSIM), Presentation Server, and App Visibility Manager.
  • Design, configure, and maintain monitoring policies, thresholds, and event correlation rules.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and long-term resolution of monitoring issues.
  • Integrate TSOM with ITSM tools (such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow) for seamless ticketing and incident workflows.
  • Customize dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business and operational needs.
  • Optimize performance and reduce alert noise through effective rule and policy tuning.
  • Automate monitoring and event management processes through scripting and custom development.
  • Lead or participate in major incident investigations, change management, and planned maintenance.
  • Mentor junior team members and deliver technical documentation and training.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight Operations Management.
  • Proficiency in TSIM, TrueSight Presentation Server, App Visibility, and ProactiveNet.
  • Expertise in monitoring policy management, event correlation, and synthetic transaction monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of SNMP, log monitoring, and integration with third-party systems.
  • Scripting knowledge in Shell, PowerShell, or Python for automation and configuration.
  • Solid knowledge of networking, server, storage, and application monitoring across hybrid environments.
  • Experience integrating with BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar ITSM tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and virtual/cloud environments (AWS, Azure, VMware).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BMC Certified Administrator in TrueSight Operations Management.
  • Exposure to AIOps platforms and transitioning to BMC Helix.
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification.
  • Experience in performance tuning and capacity planning.
