Job Description
Proposed Designation: Project Manager
Total Experience:9+ Years
Qualifications: Masters of bachelors in science or technology preferably Geoinformatics
Location: Chandigarh/Noida
Job roles and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables for GIS projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of GIS analysts, technicians, and data specialists.
- Allocate & Monitor the production status of the project
- Ensure the project QMS documents of his/her team/Project
- Ensure the QA/QC of production data
- Prepare the project Status/Tracker
- Present Project Plan/SMR/WSR to the management
- Organizing the various professional people working on a project
- Managing changes to the project without unduly affecting the stated objectives and benefits
- Strong prioritization skills including managing time and workload efficiently
Process Adherence
- Ensure the quality goals by the team.
- Participate, co-ordinate, implement/monitor defect prevention and process improvement activities in the project.
- Fill the QMS document related to the project (Quality document, checklists etc.).
- Participate in the New Ideas, More Value & Process improvement activities by providing the suggestions to improve the existing processes.
Additional Responsibilities
- To assist in Project Planning/monitoring.
- Motivate his/her team for the ESRI technical certifications
- Ensure regular technical & soft skill trainings to team member
- Regular Knowledge sharing sessions/Trainings
Desired Skillset
5+ years of experience in managing IT-based and/or GIS projects( Managing data creation, conversion, conflation projects, etc.)
Team supervisory skills
Proficiency in GIS software like ArcGIS Pro and hands-on experience on ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise. Experience with location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology.
Familiarity with database management systems like SQL or PostgreSQL
Ability to conduct requirements gathering, interpret needs, and design solutions and manage expectations.
Project management including timeline planning, documentation, personnel and technical resources, stakeholder engagement, QA/QC, and preparation of deliverables.
Collaboration skills; ability to adapt quickly between technical and non-technical teams to accomplish shared goals and objectives on time.
Strong oral and written communication skills to provide clarity to staff, stakeholders and contractors all of whom may have very low to very high ranges of technical expertise.
Ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team
Be a self-motivated, creative, team-oriented, and proactive problem solver
