Job Description
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Fine-tuning DLP policies and reviewing related reports.
- Understanding of how to reduce false positives while protecting sensitive data.
- Awareness of best practices in DLP implementation (e.g., protecting PII, financial data).
2. Antivirus Management
- Installing and configuring antivirus solutions across systems.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and generating reports for antivirus activity.
- Responding to malware detections or compliance alerts.
3. Vulnerability Management
- Identifying, tracking, and helping mitigate security vulnerabilities in systems.
- Possibly working with patching teams or tools like Nessus, Qualys, etc.
4. Documentation Skills
- Using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for:
- Creating reports
- Maintaining policy documents
- Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
5. Information Security Knowledge
- General understanding of InfoSec principles, terminologies (like CIA triad, firewall, IDS/IPS, encryption).
- Awareness of regulatory standards (maybe ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
6. Awareness of Security Tools
- Knowledge (even at a basic level) of tools used for:
- Threat detection
- Endpoint protection
- Vulnerability scanning
- SIEM
7. Basic Networking
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.
- Possibly basic troubleshooting or firewall rules awareness.
8. Domain Joining
- Adding systems to Active Directory domains.
- Ensuring systems comply with domain policies.
9. O365 Profiling
- Configuring and supporting Microsoft Office 365 profiles.
- Setting up Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, etc.
